- The Al Jazeera network aired satellite imagery before and after the April 14 attack by Yemeni army and the Houthi Ansarullah forces, confirming that the Aramco Pump Station 8 in the Riyadh region had sustained heavy damage.
The images, which were published despite strict censorship by Saudi Arabia on giving away the smallest details about the damage, clearly show a rupture of around 4 meters in one of the pipelines, which has caused oil leakage over an area around one square kilometers.
The 4-meter rupture is captured in this satellite image provided by Al Jazeera.
Saudi authorities were forced to halt pumping the critical east-west pipeline between the oil-rich Eastern region and the Yanbu oil hub after the attack.
The drones flew around 800 kilometers to reach their targets in the provinces of Dawadmi and Afif near Riyadh and managed to carry out their precision strikes and come back without getting detected in the process.
The drone strikes allow Yemeni resistance groups to expand their reach in a war that had already seen them push back against the aggressors by launching missiles as deep into Saudi territories as reaching Riyadh.Source: iuvmpress
