MWFpress — Amid an escalation of violence in all battlefields in the Syrian eastern province of Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Chief of Staff of the Syrian Armed Forces made a rare field visit to the region.
Under a direct instruction from the Syrian President Dr. Bashar al-Assad, General Ali Abdullah Ayoub, the Syrian Chief of Staff of the Syrian Armed Forces flew to Deir Ezzor and made a field visit from the recently liberated city of Deir Ezzor, ISIS’ last major stronghold in the eastern Syria.
He also visited the battels fronts with ISIS terrorists and the Kurdish secessionist SDF forces.
Gen. Ayoub’s visit to Deir Ezzor comes three days after Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the allied Hezbollah fighters retake control of the oil-rich Deir Ezzor after ISIS’ 4 years of terror reign.
Meanwhile, furious battles are continuing between SAA troops and ISIS terrorists in Deir Ezzor’s suburbs. The border town of Abu Kamal is the next and last SAA major battel with ISIS militants in the eastern Syria.-iuvmonline
